“Women and Entrepreneurship ” by Danièle Castle

We are delighted to be hosting Danièle Castle this month, who will be discussing the differences in microentrepreneurship and entrepreneurship and the state of women’s entrepreneurship. Danièle will share the reasons why she believes entrepreneurship can be a viable career path for women.
She is looking forward to being challenged and questioned by a participative audience and finding out whether some of you consider yourselves entrepreneurs or not!

Danièle Castle began her career in the European headquarters of Burson-Marsteller, where she worked on pan-European industrial accounts (B2B), then joined a multinational biotechnology company, where she was Director of the Corporate Public Relations department. She set up her third start-up, specialised healthcare agency Genevensis Healthcare Communications in 1999.

Particularly interested in the interface between not for profit sector and business, she has developed partnerships with NGOs for business and also worked within NGOs. More recently, she was Executive Director of Graduate Women International, an international NGO focused on girls’ and women’s education, present in 80 countries. She is currently running the EdTech Acceleration programme for venturelab.
