Charisma is a rather controversial topic in that people think that either you have it\, or you don’t. Charismatic leaders\, for example\, have a dee p influence on followers who will buy into the leader’s vision and perform beyond what is asked of them. « Charisma gets people to like you\, trust you\, and want to be led by you » (Olivia Fox Cabane). Hence\, charisma ca n make a huge difference for your success and your capacity to influence o thers\, both private and professional.\n\nA growing body of research shows that charisma can be acquired. There is a pattern in the behaviors of cha rismatic people and we can all learn to be more charismatic. During this s ession\, we will talk about which characteristics make charismatic people stick out and how we can learn to be memorable and influential.\n\n\nOur s peaker Marika Fenley received her Ph.D. in management in 2012 from the Fac ulty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne. Marika’s res earch focused on charismatic leadership\, leader prototypes and women and leadership. Her research on charismatic leadership together with her thesi s supervisor Professor John Antonakis has received a lot of attention. The results of one of their studies were published in the Harvard Business Re view.
