FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. When are we changing venue?
We are changing venue from January 2025 and the club’s first event of the year will be held there on Tuesday 14 January 2025.
2. Why are we moving?
The Restaurant Le Casino in Rolle has long been home for our monthly events, and we have been very well looked after by the family Vuillemier, however the meeting space available to us is too small to continue to meet the needs of the club.
For the past 12 months the board has been reviewing available options to find a new location for our monthly meetings which is between Nyon and Morges, easily accessible by public transport or by car and at the same price. The venues meeting these criteria are limited but the Romantik Hôtel Mont-Blanc Au Lac in Morges meets all these criteria and we hosted a successful event there in January.
3. Are there any changes to the time or format of our meetings?
There are no changes to the timing and our agenda will remain:
18:30 Meet and greet.
19:00 Welcome and update
19:10 Presentation
20:30 Networking dinner
Our new meeting room Salle Les Alpes is much larger so we will have more options and flexibility in terms of the room layout if needed.
We will also have our dinner in the same meeting room, sitting around circular tables which will help us to continue with our traditional and highly valued networking dinner.
4. Are there any changes in the registration process?
You will still be able to register via Weeze up to 11pm on the Sunday before the event although we strongly encourage you not to leave this to the last moment and to register well in advance.
You will be asked for any dietary requirements at the time of registration and if none are noted you will be served the chef’s seasonal choice of dish.
Also please note that the club will need to pay for the number of attendees which we notify the hotel of on the Monday morning prior to the event. Therefore if your plans change at the last moment, we will not be able to offer you a refund of registration fee nor allow you to transfer it to pay for a future event.
5. Is the registration fee the same?
There are no changes to the registration fee. This will still be CHF60 for BPW members and guests under the age of 35 years and all other guests will pay CHF80.
To stay within our budget the dinner at the Romantik Hôtel Mont-Blanc Au Lac with two courses, a starter and main course with water, a glass of wine plus tea or coffee to end the meal.
6. Where can I park?
There are many parking options within walking distance. The closest are either on the street Rue des Alpes and next to the chateau. There are also plenty of parking spaces at the Parc de l’Independance which is a 5-minute walk away.
7. I am travelling from Geneva; will it take longer?
If you are travelling by train, it is faster and more flexible as there are more trains running between Geneva and Morges. Also the walking distance to the hotel is less, and should take around 8 minutes.
If you are driving, it will take 10 to 5 minutes longer depending on the traffic conditions.
