Our speaker Leticia Gonçalves, President Europe & Middle East, Monsanto, will share the main key learnings and developments that helped her to be successful in her 20-year career trajectory. She will also talk about the vision and mission in her company and how they create a diverse and inclusive corporate environment.
Since joining Monsanto in 1997, Leticia has held several U.S. and international management positions. In the United States, she was Vice President of Monsanto’s U.S. Commercial Operations. She also held positions as Technology Development and Agronomy Lead for the U.S. Seeds and Traits business; Regional Business Director for the Seeds & Traits and Crop Protection organizations; and Corn Pricing Lead and Business Development Director for Food Quality Traits.
In Brazil, she was the Soybean Licensing Manager, where she played a key role in developing and leading the implementation of Roundup Ready Soybean value capture system. Leticia’s other roles in Brazil included Soybean Product Manager, Market Development Manager, and Sales Manager for the NutraSweet Kelco division.
Leticia has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering with a Specialization in Business Administration from the Universidade de Sao Paulo, Brazil and an International Executive Master Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is fluent in English and Portuguese and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
She and her husband Rene, along with their children Joao Victor and Giovanna relocated to Switzerland in September 2014.
